Week of 03/10/25

My Recent Activities

Tuesday was a Yuba County Board of Supervisors meeting.  Here are a few highlights from the agenda:

  • Approved release of request for proposals for professional services to update the Yuba County General Plan and Plumas Lake Specific Plan documents
  • Approved service agreement with Live Nation Worldwide Inc., dba Toyota Amphitheatre to provide supplemental law enforcement services at Toyota Amphitheatre
  • Receive quarterly updates from Public Safety Departments.
  • Received update from Yuba County Resource Conservation District

I had several other board and committee meetings on my calendar, including:

  • Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC) Board of Directors meeting.

Additional items on my calendar included a meeting with AT&T, a Bi-County Ambulance Leadership Luncheon, a meeting with the Yuba Water general manager, a meeting with the county auditor, a regional dinner with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) in Chico, a graduation for several probation programs, and coffee meetings with several local elected officials and constituents.

This week, community events on my calendar included the Yuba Sutter Farm Bureau Spring Fling and the South Yuba County Sunrise Rotary Park Cleanup in Plumas Lake.

Looking ahead to this week 

Tuesday is a Yuba Water Agency Board of Directors meeting.  Here are a few highlights from the agenda:

  • – Consider authorizing a new capital expenditure budget line item for $1,150,000. The new line item will be used for the land purchase of Assessor’s Parcel Number 006-160-060.
  • Review of financial statements and details for General & Power Systems Fund for January 2025.
  •  Several CEQA Notice of Exemptions

I have several other board and committee meetings on my calendar, including:

  • Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) monthly board meeting. The agenda includes multiple items of public interest, but the primary one is likely “Approve 2025 Regional Active Transportation Program Funding Recommendation.”
  • Sacramento Area Council of Governments REI Working Group Meeting
  • Yuba Sutter Transit monthly Board meeting (agenda)
  • Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Carrier of Last Resort (COLR) Ad-hoc Committee Meeting
  • Nothern California Water Association (NCWA) Executive Committee Meeting

Additional items on my calendar include an event hosted by Valley Vission about how wildfires impact the environment, public health, and the economy; agenda setting for the board of supervisors meeting on 3/25; a special board workshop for Yuba Water Agency; and a SACOG bus tour of Rocklin. This week, community events on my calendar include the Teichert Equipment Rodeo.

  • Plumas Lake Walking Moai, Mondays at 6:30am at Eufay Wood Park, starting March 31 (FB Event)
